This was a easy-to-use and secure process. I was impressed with several loan options to choose from. I choose Light Stream due to it being the best one for me. The process only took about two days. They called me to make sure it was me applying. This was a huge relief for me due to all the identity theft happenings! Everything is verified and communication via emails. I definitely recommend Lending Tree service!

The length of time to process my loan was almost 3 weeks. I made multiple calls to ask why things I submitted were "just sitting there". Contacting customer service was less than helpful. The payment options are lacking compared to other lenders. I think this intentionally makes it more difficult to pay more or pay off faster. On a positive note, the application process was easy, even if slow. Rates are good.

Almost instant Approval when many others said "No." then the funding was within 30 hours, to my bank account. Wow- totally digital. Love it!

Poor customer service. Loan representative did not show like she cared about customer satisfaction to include her manager. I would call asking for updates just to be ignored and not even receive a call back.
Process of finalizing the loan took to long and when mistakes were made in the process they acted like it was my problem.

After researching and learning Mutual of Omaha was one of the top lenders nationwide we decided to take a small mortgage loan for repairs to a recently purchased property. This mortgage loan process was the slowest, most painful loan process we have ever been through. It took fully 8 weeks from start to finish. In 40 years of home ownership we have never had to jump through so many hoops nor have a mortgage process take so long. The loan origination officer was the one ray of sunshine in the whole process. He was extremely helpful and responsive. The loan processors and underwriters were terrible. Every time we were told we are almost at the finish line they needed something else. All for a property that was free and clear and only requesting an amount of about a quarter of the property value. I would not recommend them to anyone.

After removing number from the no call list I continue to get calls from lending tree and other companies about home loans. Even after already have closed with a different lender.
