They showed up within the window…

They showed up within the window indicated and we appreciated it. I paid him $75 per his request for the visit. I paid cash and received an electronic receipt that he sent to my email. I received it and opened it and viewed the receipt. It said the vendor "adjusted freon pressure and put 2 lbs freon. System works well." The receipt does not indicate $75 anywhere.

The repair was made 3 working days…

The repair was made 3 working days after request was submitted and a total of 5 calendar days. Time for service was changed 3 times then tech showed up earlier than scheduled. Tough to keep up with work! On the plus side we did receive regular text and email updates which were appreciated.

I did an online claim for my water…

I did an online claim for my water heater replacement on Monday, 9 September 2024. The replacement was not installed until Friday, 13:September 2024. There was to much time to replace the water heater. Further, Choice Warranty charged me $500.00 for incidental before they would even start the claim process. Why did you charge me $500.00. I would like explanation for this charge. I understand the $60.00 fee.

I initiated a warranty claim recently

I initiated a warranty claim recently. The system has changed. They no longer just ask for the type of appliance repair required. They now require the manufacturer. Then the technician dispatched is one who is working for that manufacturer and is familiar with the product, parts and repair solution. Bravo!

Aggressive Sales

I had some specific questions about the coverage/service, so I called in. Sales person greeted me with just "Hello?" and it made me wonder if I even had the right number. After answering only some of my questions, he started talking about the monthly price. I had to stop him, so I could get the information I needed. Afterward, he tried to upsell me on a 5 year plan to get a better rate after talking to his manager. When I told him I wasn't interested, he wouldn't let it go and kept asking why...

Our repairs were scheduled quickly

Our repairs were scheduled quickly. the technician who arrived was excellent. He fixed everything and explained what he was doing and why as he did so.

He also did an evaluation of the system that was giving us trouble and did some preventative work as well.

Claim

I think there is always room for improvement. One thing I was not able to do was make a claim online being that I had previously made a claim about 25 days before but I cancelled that claim.

Choice home is a fraud insurance…

Choice home is a fraud insurance company. They take months to process simplest of claims. Moreover, they will identify technicians, send them to your house and reject claim saying technicians did not provide the required information. Then they expect you to reach out to their technicians to get the info. They have a long list of reasons why NOT to help you. Out of frustration, if you ask for refund, they give you peanuts back. Total SCAM! stay away! No insurance is far better than Choice insurance.

Worst Home Warranty Ever

Please, please, please do not use them. They send incompetent technicians, and change the parts with cheap ones. The tech said they might have fried the dampers on my AC when changing the zone board and guess what, the home warranty doesn't cover the dampers. When talking to them, they said to go after the technician but they sent the tech and feel they are not responsible for them. In short, three weeks later, I still have no AC, have 2 mechanical thermostats that replaced 2 high tech thermostats and found out not compatible with my AC, and after paying every month Choice home warranty, paying the tech $100 deductible, I find myself with fried dampers and with a quote from another company for $1,200. Not worth it. They are ripping off people...

Dealing with Choice was easy

Dealing with Choice was easy. CS was very good. Several days after I placed my claim, they were unable to obtain a technician for the claim. They gave me the option of finding my own with the reimbursement option. I did that and the process was simple. Within 1 hour of submitting my technicians diagnosis, the reimbursement was approved. Only difference here, is that I had to lay out the money and now have to wait for my reimbursement check to come. I am hoping It will come in a timely fashion,

My technician Kevin was professional

My technician Kevin was professional, fixed my A/C issue & knowledgeable. We arranged a convenient day/time as I was going out of town for a few days
Kevin’s phone # was listed & he answered his phone when I called. My A/C is working fine again. I give Kevin 5 stars.

Read the agreement carefully, then go elsewhere

As expected, claim denied. Any expensive repair/replacement will end up either flatly denied or customer paying out significantly from pocket. Take the time to read and understand all the fine print and you quickly realize Choice has built into the verbiage their ability to deny any claim. Don’t buy into the hype. For small, quick fixes this warranty is excellent, but for big ticket items, absolutely horrible. Pay close attention to maximum limits and quickly realize in today’s economy you will be expending considerable out of pocket costs and for inferior builder grade parts/items. Buyer beware !

Appt was made by Choice to evaluate status of our dishwasher that was not working. Repair man came and knew just what to do. Repair was authorized and as soon as part comes in, it will be repaired

Run don’t walk from this home warranty…

Run don’t walk from this home warranty company. Their customer service is absolutely disgusting their representatives talk to you like you’re trash. I feel like this company was good. The first year I was covered underneath the plan but all they’re concerned about now is selling their home warranty packages, but not covering anything. Don’t waste your money. Don’t sign up with this home warranty company.

Not worth the money

Not worth the money. We waited 2 weeks in the middle of a Florida summer with 100+ temperatures to get an AC technician out to work on our air conditioner. Choice Home Warranty does not pay these businesses enough to make customers a priority. You end up getting placed on the back burner. Your money would be better spent elsewhere.

Choice Home Warranty is best in taking care of any issue. They took care of 3 issues raised in a timely manner, they send well qualified technician from good company. Once they fix the issue, no need to call them again about same issue.

So Far a Happy Customer

I went thru the routine to advise you of a problem with my refrigerator and I have an appointment that will satisfy my concern. Also it is with Sears who I have used for similar problems for the past 60 years.Couldn't be happier!
