So glad we bought insurance!

Nobody wants to have to file a claim but when we learned we would not be able to make our trip due to illness, we were certainly glad we could! Online instructions were clear and concise. We received a response within a few days asking for a bit more documentation, and then a few days after that we received payment on our claim.

Outstanding service and reimbursement

Outstanding service. When we caught COVID while in Ireland, we called Allianz and within an hour we were on a virtual call with an Ireland doctor, who prescribed Paxlovid for us. When I got home and submitted the trip Interruption claim, not only did they pay that, they contacted me to let me know they found another coverage that applied, and they paid me more than I expected. Top notch coverage, and top notch service. We're Allianz customers for life.

Would recommend

Very easy to work with and responsive. Helped cover some of my lost costs due to airline delays and cancellation. It was worth having the peace of mind when traveling, given past challenges with airlines and not being covered by their mistakes.

Never needed it until now!

I always buy travel insurance but have never needed to use it until now! Allianz was easy to work with—everything was done on line. While the airline company did cover hotel and some meal costs, it was nice to be reimbursed for the non refundable show and museum tickets that we had paid for in advance. Still bummed we missed these experiences but grateful that we weren’t also out all that money.

Good experience

Allianz told us what we needed to present to submit a claim and following their website is user friendly. We have had Allianz over the years but were fortunate not to use it until recently. My wife had emergency twice within two weeks so our international trip had to be canceled. Working with Allianz was efficient. We will continue to use Allianz for future trips.

Financial savers during medical emergency

I had to cancel going to a comedy event due to my mother in law having a medical emergency, and she is also our childcare person. I'm so glad I got insurance. I was able to get refunded my tickets and part of my hotel itinerary. The claim process was very easy and I was kept updated by email and text. Absolutely worth the cost of an additional fee when purchasing.

I have used Allianz many times now

I have used Allianz many times now. In one occasion while being on vacation in Canada I fell and broke my ankle. The service I received from Allianz was extraordinary. They took care of my hospital bill, transfer back to my city in Florida, paid for a new airfare ticket for me and my husband. I recommend them 100%

Our 2nd leg of flight to our home…

Our 2nd leg of flight to our home airport on 8/9 was cancelled and we would have had to wait 24hrs for a rescheduled flight, so we made the choice to rent a car and drive the 3 hours and 11 minutes home. I filed our claim a few days later and last week I received a reimbursement check for the rental car and the tolls. I bought this travel insurance thru Delta Airlines, but I will definitely be checking them out again for any future travel.

You guys were amazing!!

You guys were amazing!!! JetBlue refused to give me my money back for my basic economy fare that i cancelled. Due to the Microsoft outage incident I decided not to travel because things were extremely chaotic in airports worldwide. Less than 14hrs after booking my flight, I called JetBlue to cancel my reservation and get a refund. They refused to pay me back even after i emailed corporate. Thank God Allianz was able to give me my full refund. I was so happy! Thank you Allianz!!

We buy insurance hoping to not need it

We buy insurance hoping to not need it, but Allianz came through for us on our last two international trips. No nonsense! The online claim process was quick and easy and in both cases we received a check in the mail very quickly.

They don’t cover visa refusal during…

They don’t cover visa refusal during trip as a reason to compensate you, even if you’ve had your entire trip plan cancelled/changed. I paid full insurance amount for 13 days trip (9 total flights), but they didn’t cover us. It’s not worth getting it thru this company.

I buy insurance to protect me if my trip gets cancelled. 2020, Allianz says "pandemic is an act of God....rejected claim. Parents get moved into a distant living facility....claim rejected. Seems they have every angle figured to make trip insurance worthless.

Filing a claim was easy

Filing a claim was easy. Allianz kept me informed about the status of my claim frequently. I knew my claim came in at a time when there were many travel disruptions, but reimbursement did not take as long as I anticipated. I will definitely continue to insure my travel with Allianz.

Life savers!

I normally purchase insurance when my ticket orders are over $250 as a safety precaution. This is the second time I’ve had to make a claim for an event I couldn't attend and the agents at Allianz eased my anxiety. This time I had a last minute change due to work commitments and ended up making a claim the day before the event. I was nervous my claim wouldn’t go through, but two phone calls and a few papers is all it took for the agents to revise my claim ASAP! I received a full refund for both times I’ve used their service. I would reccomend using their services if you’re like me and would rather have peace of mind for major purchases and need a backup plan for emergencies.

The web site was very clear as to what documents were needed for review and refund.

I had a live conversation as well that expedited the refund.

I have used you for past trips. -this was only trip requiring a refund.

Going on 2 months..

Going on 2 months... Allianz ignores communication & sends blank auto messages. I have been told different information by different agents. I promptly sent in the requested documents & have been waiting on a correct reissued check for over a month. The Allianz portal doesn't ever update, it has alway said "documents under review" even when my claim had been paid with the check issued in the wrong name. I sent all documents into that portal & again in emails but still get no actual communication from an agent that looks at what I've submitted so it's just a big vortex that goes nowhere. Reissue cut my check in my name & do better for your customers...

I signed up with Allianz Travel…

I signed up with Allianz Travel Insurance for the peace of mind I would have during my trip to Europe in August. I did not need any medical assistance on this trip; however I did feel great knowing if needed, I would be taken care of.

Your insurance is a scam

Your insurance is a scam. I will never ever purchase it again. Hurricane Ernesto made a direct hit to Bermuda island and you stated that you could not honor our claim because it was uninhabitable. I have filed a complaint with consumer affairs and I will tell everyone I know never to purchase your insurance.
