The sales person to us was honest and…

The sales person to us was honest and sincere and respectful. He’s the only person that my husband has invited into our home. The more we learned about the security system we were interested. So far we are happy with the system. The system was installed quickly. We haven’t dealt with customer service to have an opinion.

Hardware installation

Hardware installation went smoothly. The training was thorough and complete. Two items for improvement: 1) Forgot to leave a sign, but that is now being shipped to us. 2) Asked for earlier arrival time. I said yes, but didn’t understand the paperwork that needed to be reviewed before they could start. This process was very rushed and I was forced to sign up for the protection plan. This meant that I had to call back later to cancel. This part was annoying.

I hate Vivent

The thermostat is trash, no onboard memory so a server connection is required to schedule it but it never stays connected. I’ve used batteries and direct power. Reset panel hundreds of times. Upgraded panel. Etc. truly awful. As for cameras, you can’t view them without being able to access Vivint servers, even on the local network. So if your internet goes out you can’t access them even while at home because the app won’t open. Same goes for the recordings even if you have the local storage drive! Absolutely useless! I honestly hate Vivint and only have it because the hardware came with the house.

The security aspects work so it manages an extra star. Avoid Vivint at all costs.

Great product everything shows clearly

Great product everything shows clearly, customer service is just awesome. Am new to having security system and customer service was so patient with me teaching me how to use my system me and my husband just love it. We are talking about getting more products.

Great customer service and fast install in the same day!! The camera screen pad is nice and has great picture quality even on my cell phone!! Highly recommend with great affordable prices !!

Vivint experience

Young man who stopped by our house was outgoing, kind, friendly.
A great salesman.
Fairly honest but kept the total cost of the install hidden until after he ran the credit.
He was open about the monthly costs of the fees and equipment but not about the credit report or who was carrying the credit.
2 weeks later still haven’t completed the installation to our satisfaction

Another company who is good at getting you to sign up, then you’re just another account.

My Wi-Fi was not hooked up when the original installation came out, so not all the products were hooked up. The technician gave me his number to contact him when the Wi-Fi was set up and he’d come back. It’s been a month. Contacted support and they told me I could technically install it myself. The doorbell camera required me to reboot the panel 3 times in 2 days while I was out of town, which was a stress in itself.

I love the system

I love the system. I had it at my old house and recently moved. I did inquire about ADT but did not like it at all. I was used to Vivint especially their app. I canceled and ADT and went back to Vivint and couldn’t be happier. Customer service is excellent with any troubleshooting issue I had.

Happy with my Vivint Home Security System

Jared came to my home and professionally explained the Vivint home security system to my partner and me. I bought the service and the installation was done in three visits because of my work schedule. On one of the installation visits a problem had occurred but was paid off and fixed by Vivint. I am also thankful Vivint will pay off my other home security system when I cancel.

The sales and installation were great

The sales and installation were great. Since the installation, I have made multiple attempts to contact the representative who gave me her extension. The representative has been unavailable each time; and, I’m directed to a voice menu in which I end up speaking with a third-party technical expert. Worst Experience Ever!

This honestly has been the worst experience I've ever had with a home security system. It started out with the perfect sell and went downhill quickly. From sloppy workmanship, lies told about what will work and what doesn't, damage to my home, half of the installation completed and then not being told when the other hald was being completed to then being ghosted by my sales person and all the promises he made not happening. Just completely disappointed. I will be looking for a buyout from another company because this is a complete bait and switch program. Once they get their commission, you're on your own!

Very polite and courteous

Very polite and courteous. Helped explain things and answered all questions I had. Even promised to get my old services canceled, since they were asking a ridiculous amount to cancel. Waiting for that to finalize. Definately 5 stars after that is completed. The installer was very kind and knowledgeable. Really feel like I am in good hands.

Very pleased with the friendly and…

Very pleased with the friendly and thoughtful way the sales rep promoted the product. He helped us take advantage of some great deals that allowed us to stay within our budget. He also assisted us along the way for the installation process answering our questions. The installation technician was very professional courteous and efficient. The whole process was very smooth and we are very pleased with our investment with Vivint!!!

Efficient and Responsive Service

Adam with Vivint was punctual, patient and displayed a thorough knowledge of the system. He walked me through the steps of using the system and assisted in setting up the Application on my phone. When I called to request assistance with logging on to the internet Adam kindly assisted me. I have no complaints. Smooth interaction and installation.

Numerous lies about pricing throughout the whole process, and every person you contact tells a different story from the rest. A pathetic and grueling experience without hope.

More equipment than I ordered was…

More equipment than I ordered was brought for install and I refused the extras. However the equipment was listed on the delivery paperwork and my invoice. Almost a week later the charges are still not adjusted. Disappointing. Guess I’m going to have to figure out who next to contact for help.

Bad install

Equipment appears to be good. Installation and support have been awful. I was told all support was U.S. based and it's not. Spent hours on the phone and took over two weeks to get an appointment for a tech to come fix the awful installation.

I had a great experience with Vivint!

I had a great experience with Vivint!! The company was very nice when explaining their system and how it worked. My install technician was wonderful and made sure I knew how everything worked before leaving. Would definitely recommend Vivint for a security system!!
