Not much to say...
I shopped on line for insurance. The Travelex site was easy to navigate, the rates were competitive, and the registration and payment processes were straight forward. My trip was uneventful. I didn't need the insurance. End of story.

My trip went without complications

My trip went without complications. There was no need for compensation. But I want to point out that I made my choice in favor of Travelex because the information on site was clear to me. I was also satisfied with the pricing policy. It was easy for me to get the electronic version of insurance.

Ungodly expensive.

Last year I encountered a minor medical issue in Johannesburg. After submitting the proper receipts and services, I was promptly issued a couple hundred reimbursement check. VERY satisfied.

HOWEVER, at $1600, this year's insurance to Portugal, I feel was ungodly overpriced.

Simple and works!

There was a short delay processing my claim but a check arrived promptly and I was happy my plan really worked! Paid for medical expenses and delayed trip fees. Affordable plans and easy to get a quote online.

I always use travelex when traveling

I always use travelex when traveling to other countries. Never had issues when we had emergencies and need to visit a doctor during a family trip and that’s not unusual when traveling with kids.

The Best Travel Ins. Company

I have been using Travelex for all of my trips for many years now and the company is excellent. There have been a few occasions when I've had to file a claim due to unforseen circumstances and Travelex has always come through with paying my claim in a very swift manner. I never travel without getting travel insurance for all of my international travels (which are many); it's just part of the cost of travel. I highly recommend the company.

A representative was very smooth to…

A representative was very smooth to answer questions to process my claim. It was easy to understand what I need to prepare for my claim. Once I submitted my information, I received an e-mail to tell how my claim will review from the review team. After about 2 weeks, I received an update by e-mail. It described how my case was reviewed and I totally understood a result of my claim. I was really happy that everything went well and fast. I will definetely use your company when I do the next trip! Thank you!

What made my Travelex experience great…

What made my Travelex experience great was the service I received when making my arrangements...The agent found my previous policy and moved efficiently to prepare exactly what I wanted this time, based on the earlier one. There was no hassle and everything went smoothly. I'll return to Travelex when I need travel insurance in the future! Thank you.

Very good claim process—additional comment—

Filing a claim due to a cancelled trip was easy to do. Filling out the claim form and downloading the necessary documents was also very easy.
Communications regarding needed data was via email.
The only complaint I have was that communication throughout the review process was nonexistent. It would have been good to get a weekly update on the status of the claim review.
My claim was fully covered and the money was direct deposited into my bank account.

Hands down the best

I've always been skeptical of trip insurance and all the promises of straightforward claim processes, but I was blown away with how responsive, simple, and logical the Travelex was. I decline all trip insurance for any travel booking I do now and only use Travelex. Cheaper, more efficient, less red tape. What's not to love?

We purchased insurance for our Israel…

We purchased insurance for our Israel trip. Israel came under a Terrorist attack 6 days before we were to leave. Quest was our travel company and and Quest is 100% nonrefundable, which is why we purchased the insurance. After sending all kinds of documents to TravelEx requesting a refund I have still not heard from them. Still unsure if we will be getting a refund. That trip was a lot of money and we were unable to go for circumstances way beyond our control.

Travelex refunded promptly

Travelex promptly refunded the cost of cancelling our trip after one of us came down with COVID-19. No questions were asked after we submitted our documentation. We were worried that it would take much longer than just one week. We would use them again.

My trip to Israel was cancelled

My trip to Israel was cancelled. I therefore cancelled the policy and requested a refund of the fee paid for the policy as it wouldn't be used and there would be no claims. It took multiple 'layers' of service representatives to get to someone who could instruct me as to what was needed. I followed the instructions - then they added more requirements. Bottom line - they have no intention of refunding the fee or even part of the fee.

You never think you need the Insurance

I cannot recommend Travelex enough.
You always think you will not need the benefits until "It happens" From the moment I placed my call after our luggage was stolen to the moment I received my payment, your representatives were so understanding.
I can still hear the gentle voice of the representative when I called hysterically crying. She made me feel so much better as she patiently walked me through what needed to be done.

Travelex used to have a line on their…

Travelex used to have a line on their flight insurance form to list a beneficiary. They no longer allow the purchaser of insurance to name a specific beneficiary, instead the issued policy lists beneficiary with a ? I purchased a policy on May 15, 2024 and was rudely informed by a cust svc rep that it is illegal to specify a beneficiary. My response to this review by Travelex was that on a separate policy I purchased May 2 2024, the policy had been amended when I called. Travelex should train their cs reps so everyone is on the same page and include a space on the application to specify a beneficiary so customers don't have to waste time on the phone to amend purchased flight policies.

To clarify, when a policy is purchased, the term used is “policy designated” which means, next of kin. It is an insurance regulation/law that we must obtain a specific beneficiary name in writing or via email to customersolutions@travelexinsuranc.com.
We are unable to accept a specific beneficiary name over the phone or online.
