Really not worth the one star

Rangemaster customer service are 100%hopeless. One advisor gave the wrong information, we ordered jets on their advice to convert the oven from natural gas to LPG. The pack was cut open and had half the jets missing. Told I would get a return label, nothing. Rang the next day, they arranged for collection of jets and advised new pack was in stock and would be sent out later that day.. Rang the next day, one advisor said they were not in stock. Does anyone there actually know what they’re doing? Very poor.

Woeful aftersales support.

Bought a Nexus SE 110 induction oven for £3k, which failed twice during the 2 year warranty for the same power supply failure on the induction. Both times the engineer they came with the wrong part and had to come back. It then failed again a few months after the 2 year warranty and Rangemaster wanted to charge £600 to repair, with complete disregard of the continual failure of the same part and their obligations under the sales of goods act. Now stuck with only 2 of the 5 rings working, not willing to give rangemaster any more money but unable to get anyone else to repair. Won't touch anything Rangemaster in the future.

Great Customer Service

Contacted Rangemaster due to the fact i have a 1.5 bowl sink which was fitted in a new build, but the rubber seals were perishing.
I asked if they can supply the seal size so i could source myself. To my surprise they said that they can supply them directly, asked for a delivery address and they arrived the following day at no cost.
What more can you want from a company.

Induction Hob warranty repair

It is always disappointing when an expensive piece of equipment breaks down. The Induction hob had an E3 fault and stopped working. However if a company responds positively to fix the problem, in a reasonable amount of time, your confidence in the decision to purchase can be restored.
I am now glad that I purchased the Rangemaster cooker. Jade was a friendly and helpful Consumer Care Advisor, who responded to our problem and put in place a prompt repair.
Darryll the service engineer did a good job, was helpful, answered my many questions and left the area clean.
Luckily the cooker was still under warranty.
I can recommend the Rangemaster Classic 60 CLA60EIBL/C 60cm Electric Cooker with Induction Hob, it works very well and much better than the old Canon gas cooker. Hopefully the Rangemaster will keep working for at least 25 years, like the Canon.

Excellent online support from Rangemaster.

Having bought a house with a Rangemaster stove, I used the online chat facility with a query about an issue which might affect the operation and safety of the two ovens.
Rangemaster agent, Brigi, answered quickly and, having given an initial response to my question, went on to give me details of how to get further advice from Rangemaster technical support.
As Brigi told me would happen, I have just checked and found I've been emailed a transcript of the chat, which will help me when contacting technical support.
Altogether an easy and extremely helpful 'live chat'.
Thanks Brigi and congratulations to Rangemaster for providing excellent online support.

I contacted RangeMaster on their Online Chat

I called RangeMaster on their contact phone number but after going round in circles on their automated answer machine, it cut me off. So I went online and started an online chat. It was slow (as the operator apparently deals with four chats at once), but if you stay patient and sit with a cup of tea while waiting for each response, you do get somewhere. Dominik was the operator and he was helpful.

Extremely slow response

Emailed rangemaster on 01/09, had a reply 11/09, extremely slow response and still didn’t give me the answer I wanted, instead instructed me to email/telephone another department.

Really helpful

While trying to arrange delivery for a Rangemaster cooker, we had some difficulties with building at home resulting in delays and confusion. I had to contact the Rangemaster team several times to explain the problems we were having at home. All the members of the team I spoke to were wonderful. Sharon, who I spoke to on a number of occasions, was so reassuring and knew what to do to to help me to resolve the issues that I was dealing with at home before we could accept delivery. Professional, quick, friendly, reassuring, all great. Thank you.

Mrs Goggins proved to be the star of the stove!

Having been to a local stockist, and then to one of a national and household name store to see and get advice on the right cooker for us, we left this morning more befuddled than ever! The lack of knowledge in the stockists was surprising and disappointing, - on said he had been on a training course for Rangemaster but it was 11 years ago! So I decided to ring Rangemaster and was put through to a most helpful lady, whose nickname in Rangemaster is evidently Mrs Goggins! We got more advice, information and help from her in 5 minutes on the ‘phone, than we had in almost 3 hours in the store. We have now made up our mind on which model to buy - so thank you!

Rangemaster Elise…

I purchased the range master Elise Rangecooker from an independent supplier.
Not realising I needed a conversion kit as I have LPG gas, I contacted Rangemaster who were more than helpful. They supplied me with one straight away and sent out, next day delivery, free of charge. The customer service from Sophie was second to none .

Rangemaster Repair Nightmare …. Buy at your Peril.

I own a Rangemaster DXD910, American Fridge Freezer, which stopped working over the August Bank Holiday weekend.
Trying to contact Rangemaster to arrange a repair was understandably difficult over the holiday period.
Rangemaster restrictions placed upon independent contractors make it impossible to get a repair from anyone but Rangemaster.
The Rangemaster website points one towards a company that no longer exists.
Rangemaster stockist point one towards companies which no longer exist.
Eventually I discovered that the authorised repair company, Repair Care (a Screwfix subsidiary) was the only option.
The call centre agent was informed that the appliance needed re-gassing.
I was charged £235.00 upfront.
They sent an engineer out a week later, he confirmed that the fridge needed re-gassing.
However, as he had not been given the correct information he could not carry out the work.
I remain waiting for the repair to be completed.

Today the call centre telephone line recorded message tell me of a waiting time of over 30 minutes.
Would I recommend Rangemaster to potential customers …. not on your life Apollo!

Great web chat help

I had an issue with registering for a promotional 5 year warranty as I didn’t have the SKU code required on the form for my Falcon rangecooker. I started a chat on the Rangemaster website with Dominik and he was able to do the registration for me. I’m now just waiting for the email confirmation.
