Sharan was great in explaining…

Sharan was great in explaining everything and taking care of the issue. He was a bit slow to respond because he said he was handling multiple chats. Overall, it seemed like he did a good job, I'll find out once my tech guys go to upload and maintain the site.

Been with HostGator for over 10 years

Been with HostGator for over 10 years, Started off great, fairly* user friendly, but very complicated to make some changes, regarding my security.
Got MORE SPAM emails using my contact form than actual customers!
Many* SPAM Contacts came from Russia, China, some languages in Farsi, none of which I can read, much less want to do business with! We cannot send any work in any other country.
Greed / Overpricing from Hostgator prevented me to want to continue after over 10years as a loyal customer! A Royal Pain in the Ass , and quite expen$$$ive to move my Website and Domain Elsewhere after 25 years in business! Customer Service became increasingly horrible and inefficient.
See ya Later, Alligator!

Excellent Service

I have to admit I was coming back to customer support for the third time for the same issue. However, this time, Mohammad Zaahid was helping me and he took the time to really get to the root of the problem, check it all out and the fix seems to be lasting. I very much appreciate the assistance. I am a long time Hostgator customer and find that assistance is generally available to me the a live person rapidly and I appreciate that.

Great Technical Help

For those of your that are struggling to get through the maze of issues with editing your own website, HostGator is a great company to host your site. They have helped me with a variety of technical issues. They always answer the phone and explain difficult issues. Jeff was especially helpful on a very difficult issue. Thanks to HostGator for the quality work they provide.

Ashley is pretty awesome

I am not an IT or networking expert and Ashley was able to explain to me the nature of my issue, what I need to do to resolve it and refer tools to me to enable that.

Its not always about fixing a problem, but giving someone the resources to solve future issues on their own.

Fantastic support every time

Dhanraj was absolutely amazing. I appreciated them going above and beyond my initial concern and resolving the overall problem I was having. I cannot express how grateful I am to have my hours of work not wasted!
Every time I work with the support team, they are on top of getting me the assistance I need and resolving my problems, not just the symptoms.

Great customer service goes a long way!

The customer service can't be beat! I have recently switched to a new dedicated server and have had quite a few reasons to contact them for help. Every single representative I've chatted with has been knowledgeable, extremely helpful and very courteous.

I reached out via chat because I had some questions regarding my website. Vivek, went above and beyond trying to assist me. I hope the management leaders will recognize Vivek's professionalism and tenacity in trying to help me. Customer service is not for the faint of heart and for those that are really good at their job should be acknowledged. Great job! :-)

Do not use this hosting service

Do not use this hosting service.
I paid for the service and then got a response from the company saying that they would not guarantee mitigation of my website. Reading this we decided not to engage the service and asked for a refund. They refused saying I paid for the service and it’s in their policy not to offer refunds just because we didn’t want to use them.

It's far too expensive for hatchling…

It's far too expensive for hatchling after the intro price and they overcharged on the already too high priced invoice, so I had to waste time talking with customer service who couldn't change the incorrect invoice I had to pay to keep everything up. They had to give me a refund instead

GREEDY . I just moved all my sites

I just transferred all my sites and email out of Hostgator after receiving the annual 30% increase in charges Bill.
GREEDY HostGator. Shame on you.
I've been with them for over 10 years , I get all I need from the add ons , so no more needed , BUT HostGator just keeps Upping the Bill.
I moved and got the same service for 20% the cost,.
NOTE. Within 4 hours of posting this I received a not so kind note from guess who..

False charges for own website backup

It use to be a Big Brand but now Hostgator Sucks, as soon as your Plan Expires they don't provide any access for you to download your data... They ask for more money just the next hour.

I am using other Hosting Platforms everyone Keeps and Provide your website backups for at least 15 days.. but for Hostgator its Paid just the next hour your plan Expires

Major improvement~

Seems to me, with numerous "chat support" sessions since beginning with Hostgator, that Hostgator has noticeably "stepped up to the plate" and boosted this support team(s). Somewhat poor just a few months ago, my interactions during the past 6-8 weeks has been nothing more that "exemplary"! Keep up the great support Hostgator (and Newfold Digital)
