My vehicle died

My vehicle died - completely dead! Needed a tow and we live in the middle no where. There was no local towing company contracted so I found a company, forwarded the information to CarShield and they set up the tow with my selection. CarShield directly paid the towing compay and up the tow!

Happy with CarSheild

I needed extensive work on my Lexus LS460 (front Struts). The request was submitted by my mechanic (Northrich Automotive). CarShield worked with them directly through the process. The thing I appreciate is how CarShield kept me updated through the process. Very enjoyable experience.

FAULTY A/C WAS REPAIRED

FAULTY A/C WAS REPAIRED, AN ABSOLUTE NECESSARY IN SOUTH FLORIDA. LAST YEAR A FAULTY TRANSMISSION WAS REPLACED.
SOMETIMES SLOW TO RESPOND BUT, OVERAL, CAR SHIELD IS QUITE GOOD.

It was as advertised.

I had a minor issue finding a service provider, but after getting help from customer service it was a breeze. They helped me find a preferred vendor and it was no issues after that.

DO NOT TRUST carshield

Carshield has consistently missed deadlines. Caused repair delays, missed scheduled update calls. Reps are unable to provide updates or make decisions or transfer customers to supervisors. Supervisors do not follow up with customers, some reps even say that they are the president of the company. Carshield advertises "stress free repairs" at this point I just want the repair to be done. Also when attempting to submit a complaint on their website, when you click "submit" the link leads to a dead page.

A person should be either but another…

A person should be either own a second car or buy own another auto or be exposed to how the process to file a claim is like a nonstop hamster wheel before a decision is made to purchase Cardshield. This like being on a hamster wheel with all the phone calls that have to be made only to learn the repair shop recommended and where one’s car is towed has no idea what is wrong and it can’t start a claim has it had no estimate and a rental car will not be provided until formal is filed through the repair shop. Call CarShield back and put on hold while being transferred to another number that id never picked up. Each transfer happens because the one reached does not specialize in whatever question one has. HAMSTER WHEEL!!! I started today at 22:40 pm ad it is now 7;30 pm

For towing

As of now I have my car in the shop for car shield to pick up my car they put it there for free and now I'm waiting to hear back from the mechanics to see what needs to be done that's where I'm at right now.

Company and customer networking.

I had actually purchased with carshield the gold plan. A week or two later I received an offer in the mail from carshield. With the same gold plan but at a reduced price. I was able to to negotiate with carshield customer service. To upgrade my gold plan to the platinum plan for the same price I had paid for the gold plan. Outstanding

Representative was very nice

Representative was very nice and made sure everything was right since my other card had been compromised and I had to get a new one, so my auto payment didn't go through with my old card

When I first tried to get the purge…

When I first tried to get the purge valve, I questioned a advisor and was told I couldn’t get it covered. It cost a few different place’s trying to get it fixed, finally got fed up with all the BS, went to Ford and they said it was the purge valve I had already had fixed elseware. Once Ford did it and it was covered everything has been great, just low on funds due to crooked A_ _ _ _ __ _.

make sure you know your warranty contract in and out as if you wrote it to make sure you understand what is covered . the customer service reps provide the wrong info

on 9/5 I had a conversation with the customer service rep at CS. She stated that the alternator belt was a covered item under my warranty. When the deal called yesterday they were denied the claim and told not covered by warranty. I called CS and yesterday and they listened to the call from 9/5 and confirmed that is what the rep told me but they still denied coverage even though I was completely lied to by the their rep. In good faith this should of been covered. Very disappointed in CS.
