We also know that customs duties/fees can be frustrating and our team works to eliminate surprises as best as we can. We do this by clearly stating at checkout that Taxes, Duties, and VAT charges are not included as well as directly on our site. Ultimately, Taxes & Duties are determined, collected, and set by your local customs agency, and we have no control over these fees, unfortunately.

Regarding the tax and shipping concerns, I wanted to clarify that in this case, you would be responsible for a Use Tax rather than a Sales Tax since the purchase was shipped to your home.

This is based on Texas tax laws. For reference, according to the Texas Comptroller’s Office, when a taxable item is purchased online or out-of-state and shipped into Texas, the buyer owes a Use Tax if sales tax wasn't charged at the time of purchase. We also apologize for the extended shipping time. Typically, deliveries should not take three weeks, and we understand how frustrating this can be, especially when shopping for a special occasion. We will review this situation to ensure it doesn’t happen in the future.
